Hyatt Zilara / Ziva Rose Hall (Jamaica) REVIEW - MASTER THREAD

Just checked into this property and wanted to update everyone with reservations later in the coming months. Parts of the property, despite Hyatt's assurances to the contrary, are very much still under construction. We had reservations at Zilara, which is not yet open, but should be in a month or so per what we have been told. Not all the pools are open, landscaping and painting is still going on, and the Zilara restaurants are not open. The hotel staff is wonderful, courteous, and welcoming, but Hyatt could do a better job communicating on the status of the property. Overall it's a beautiful hotel and will be great once finished.

Instead of them being upfront an honest with the progress, Hyatt disappoints again. We would have re-booked some where else had we known Zilara wouldn't be functional for another month.

mrresskin now that you are at the Hyatt and can compare it with your previous Resort from yesterday would you chose to go back to the Grand if you could?

We have 4 Zilara Suites booked for Dec 19th for 10 Days and like you I am very disappointed with the Hyatt. Should we try to re-book at the Grand if we can?

no comparison. Iberostar Grand. your Zilara suites probably won't be ready. the Zilara itself is at least a month away from being acceptable
