I'll call Karen (Gold Passport Concierge) to these questions - I really don't know what the answer actually is - so if we could hold off on the debate on how long the status will last if you do the qualifying nights under this promotion that would be great.

“To maintain Platinum membership member must complete 5 eligible nights at any Hyatt hotel or resort worldwide, within 180 days of enrollment. To achieve Diamond membership member must complete 15 eligible nights. Members that achieve qualifying nights in 2009 will receive tier status through February 2011. Members that achieve qualifying nights in 2010 will receive tier status through February 2012.”

Is it retroactive?
I'm already Diamond through Feb 2011. I just got back from 14 nights at Hyatts in Hawaii. If I register now will those count towards the minimum of 15 nights I need to make me Diamond through Feb 2012?

The T&C's seem to suggest in nights in 2010 that qualify towards that extension. But I think Peteropny is going to confirm that by talking to Hyatt GP.

Sorry, yes I meant Feb 2012. My question is do stays made prior to the time you register for the promotion count.

I'm assuming that this is the same promotion that was run last summer / fall - if that is the case - nights / stays are not retroactive to the start of the promotion but only from the registration date.

Awesome! This is just what I needed. I signed up as a Gold Passport member a week ago as I have four nights booked next month. Now it looks like I need to add a fifth night...
Thanks, peteropny!

I believed that promotion, which took me back to platinum (and I managed to re-qualify) also took plats to Diamond - hence my question/observation above.

Please correct me if I am wrong:
Currently I am Diamond till Feb 2011. This year I have done 8 nights, 16 stays (through BNT promo). If I call GP to add this Code IŽll need 7 more nights to keep Diamond until Feb 2012. Am I right here?
Thanks
Chris
