For mattress-runner the sightseeing is not that important, I guess. A bit over 2 €for a month in hotel with internet and breakfast and earning some stay credit for airline on the top, it is not relevant. I was looking that you can also take a bike and go to nearby hills in the autumn, after the rain-season (peak in September).

Thanks OP for great find! ^

Some can combine it with also the SU's offer that goes on for flying to ICN.

What if we reserve, but don't stay, do we still get credit? Our cards would be charged for the stay if we didn't cancel, yes?

Can someone enlighten me? Since I'm trying to build Wyndham Reward points, isn't this deal unhelpful because you only get Wyndham points per dollar spent, not per night stayed? The dollar-spent total here is minuscule. And I don't plan to fly there. Am I missing another way to get great use of this?

Italy Penny Hotel VS Ramada Penny(or nine)

Ok here we go again
When I first reported the Venice penny hotel on IHG website I couldn't believe my eyes. IHG tried all they could to not honor it. They even tried to say someone hacked into their computer system.
As I was in Palm Beach at my parents I saw the local news coverage of the penny error. I laughed since I started the whole thing. I saw clips about it from Dubai ,Japan and Italy. There were many American news stations running the price error as well.
They finally honored it and gave points to you if you cancelled.....so
I think Ramada had a good laugh at IHG error and now it is their turn to honor.

I have been trying to find out the dates of the Posco Firework Festival in Pohang but have been told dates will be out soon. One gentleman said it usually is the 4th week in July so I booked the 4th and 5th wkend in July.
Cant wait for this rate to be honored.
Looking forward to another penny run. Venice was wonderful for all of us who took advantage of it and the hotel staff was great.
Thanks OP

Rate error or not, how can we know?

The longer the rate stays, the more likely not an error. As its a bit off the beaten track, we will find out when the first one tries to check in or even no show, if not before. I guess before lunch 11th Feb local time. They are still asleep there. So still some bonanza from the US.

Could be Ramadas some kind of anniversary bonus, and they picked this hotel.

Or the owner of Hyundai also owns this, and want to throw a party at his birth place? (after all the guy stole a cow in North Korea in his youth, and later returned a few hundred (tough interest) across the closed border not so long ago.

Or the GM has a hotline to Kim, and know about the nuke schedule- throwing a last party.

Or they benefit from the casino or restaurant with exorbitant prices. "Rural" Korea after all.

The rate may be political. How interesting.

Hope to hear some good news very soon, as I can ticket to S.K. anytime... even if I don't get a room I don't mind camping in the hotel lobby for that price!
