There used to be a member who was a self-proclaimed DYKWIA who could get you a copy of the manifest from the FA.

Yeah. I've had FAs struggle to get the safety video to play, too. Fiddling with the innards of the IFE is not where their attention ought to be.

After safety, though, customer service IS a core competency. And in that, they should know how to politely ask a disruptive passenger to end the call.

+1 to this, no way FAs are going to be concerned with trying to figure out who's clogging down the GoGo and trying to do something technical to alleviate the issues.

I think we're in 100% agreement. If a passenger is doing something potentially unsafe/disruptive, the FA should correct the behavior. If that doesn't work, more forceful methods should be used up to and including removal from the flight, diversion, LEOs waiting for them upon arrival.

Leo and Bacarrat would both be extremely unhappy.

On many aircraft, the manifest was hanging from a cllip near the forward lav; so, while you were waiting to use the facility, you could see the names on it and their respective statuses, without having to ask.

He is, but when I looked him up the other day he hadn't posted since July 6, and most of his recent posts are in the AA forum.
