HSBC (USA) Premier has eleven airline transfer partners, and two hotel chain partners. Cards issued in other countries may have different partners and transfer ratios

I think you're asking a two part question...
For the points you already have, it doesn't matter. It is what it is.
For the future: How many points do you earn per dollar?
EDIT: Looks like 1 point per dollar, according to the link above. That would make an airline redemption about 1.67% rebate on your spending. Not great.
There are links to some 2% cash back cards in the forums here, as well as cards with categories of spend as high as 5% cash back, plus plenty of cards that offer up to 3 airline miles per dollar - which can easily equate to 6% back.

So if you book a transpac flight for $1200 or 72,000 points, then you could get back 15,000 miles in your FF program. Valuing those miles at 1.5 cents each, that's $225. So the 72k points reward now becomes worth $1425, or a 2% rebate.
So for daily spending, it's actually pretty decent, since most airline cards earn 1 mile/$1, which is a 1.5% rebate.

There are lower asset min. requirements in some 'emergining' countries where they seem keen to expand customer bases, like India, Egypt and Turkey. The min. requirements are around USD$50000 (they list in local currency).
The highest I've seen is SAAB Saudi Arabia (HSBC in KSA), almost US$300000 (SAR 1m)

In my case, my primary account is in Canada so the minimum relationship balance is CAD 100 000.00. I subsequently opened an account in the USA, but only keep about $50 in that account on a regular basis. For a number of reasons I've avoided opening a Premier account in Hong Kong, but if I do there will be no minimum balance on that account either.

thanks for the update
4. A bonus of 2500 points will be credited to your account after spending $12 000 in a year. Another bonus of 5000 points will be credited at $24 000.
5. Points can be transferred to airline frequent flyer programmes. To start they will be partnering with Cathay Pacific, British Airways and Singapore Airlines.
Any other comments on these proposed changes?

And why is this a good card to use?
It sounds most uncompetitive for usa based customers.
Now it's worse than 1% travel rebate!!
And only three airlines available to transfer.
why this over almost any other rewards card on market?
I am perplexed.
