For the future: How many points do you earn per dollar?

EDIT: Looks like 1 point per dollar, according to the link above. That would make an airline redemption about 1.67% rebate on your spending. Not great.

There are links to some 2% cash back cards in the forums here, as well as cards with categories of spend as high as 5% cash back, plus plenty of cards that offer up to 3 airline miles per dollar - which can easily equate to 6% back.
Keep in mind you also earn miles on the airline redemption.

So if you book a transpac flight for $1200 or 72,000 points, then you could get back 15,000 miles in your FF program. Valuing those miles at 1.5 cents each, that's $225. So the 72k points reward now becomes worth $1425, or a 2% rebate.

So for daily spending, it's actually pretty decent, since most airline cards earn 1 mile/$1, which is a 1.5% rebate.
