Ctrip's mobile app is an abomination.

Following is my bug report:

-a credit card that expires at the end of the current month is not okay
-for my MC, any expiration months that aren't at the end of the quarter are not okay (the work around to this is pretty easy)
-they only display 2 or 3 out of ~15 flights on your route (the good news here is that the 2-3 flights have always been optimal in terms of price/schedule)
-it's often impossible to select a traveler

In closing, I still like the app, but their QA sucks big time.

Can you avoid the 3% charge of using a non-Chinese credit card using the Android version of their app? It looks like from their web site that the 3% fee is waived if you use the iOS version of their app (http://pages.english.ctrip.com/mobile/). But it doesn't say anything about the Android version.

Btw, if I use elong with PayPal, would they charge any additional fees?

Thanks!

Answering my own question: The Android app gets the 3% waived too.

Yup, but I usually book on the internet or phone because the Android app is complete crap.

For me prices on the desktop were cheaper than the mobile app
