What qualifies as a "restaurant" for the Q2 2014 bonus?

From the Freedom website:
Merchants in the Restaurants category are merchants whose primary business is sit-down or eat-in dining, including fast food restaurants as well as fine dining establishments. Please note that some merchants that sell food and drinks located within larger merchants that sell other goods or services may not be included in this category; for example, sports stadium concessions and department store cafeterias.

Chase Freedom 5% Merchant Categories

I have a hard time maxing out drug store/gas station categories (but no problem with restaurant). Could buying vanilla reloads at cvs and 7-eleven raise red flags and get my account shut down (and UR points taken away)?

Maxing out the Freedom card $1500 dollar limit shouldn't be a big deal with VR/GC etc.

Thanks! I'm hoping the 7-eleven near me sells them and will take a credit card. I imagine there aren't a ton of 'gas stations' that do though...

Are you sure that Chase has 5% in drug stores? That has expired back in March.

In a couple of days the categories will shift to gas stations and Kohl's dept store. Most 7-elevens are categorized as a gas station under Visa.

I checked a nearby 7-eleven and they did not have the vanilla card, nor do they accept payment with credit card for their pre-paid cards.

Rotating categories with limits. SO not worth the effort.

I'm still trying to find a way to take advantage of the Lowes category before it ends.

Massive GC rack but no liquidation route apparent.

Forget about lowes, apply for Chase Ink Bold and get 5X points from gift cards.

In case you don't realize this, a lot of gas stations sell gift cards too.

I can easily buy $1514.98 worth of 'gas" at a 7-eleven, and it'll be in a very liquid state (now click here http://instantrimshot.com/ )

Obviously not the best game due to limits, but grabbing 7500 UR points is still pretty cool. Chase Freedom is a long-term play.

This whole game is a long-term play, people are just greedy and don't treat it as one.
