World's tightest man needs 45 tier points
Can you help!?
I need 45 TPs to ensure I renew my Silver status. So I'm planning a points run, and would like to do the very cheapest possible booking. I live in Cambridge, so would ideally fly from LHR or LGW, but would consider another UK airport within a reasonable drive.
I'm hoping the expertise and hive mind here can help me out with an incredible bargain, that will win me my 45 points...
My own messy searching has so far only found lots of 40 point bookings for approx 200, but I'm hoping for 45 points and a bit cheaper than that!
I asked a similar question to this previously, but stupidly didn't book - Now I have my credit card in hand and I'm ready to jump on a bargain! All help very gratefully received.

agree with the above comments.
you aren't going to find many flights with better value than 3 per TP ex UK.
depending on timescales and whether you might e.g. have a trip to the US coming up anyway, there are much better value trips in the US at 1 per TP (or below) though those tend to be about accumulating a lot of them - a single US F hop is 60 TPs.
more on that here http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/briti...er-thread.html though it doesnt sound like that fits your bill of "tightness, 45 only and ex UK"

LGW-JER return outbound in ET inbound in CE is 133 on many dates and would earn 50 TP's.
Any of the other 199 CE fare routes such as AMS, ALC, etc should be around the same price.
Don't think you'll get any cheaper ex-UK.

You can get an ET return flight to BRU on 29 November for 87.78. That only gets you 20 tier points but online upgrades are often available for 50 or so one way to get an extra 30.
I'd have thought quite likely there will be upgrade capacity for those flights on a Saturday, it is a risk though so if you want to guarantee it I'd pay the 60 or so for one of the options above.

Focusing on LGW to JER, the best I can find going out in ET and back in CW is 155.71 - Can't seem to find a 133 option?

Of course, you will need to factor in a hotel in JER.
