Here's my cheap and cheerful TP excursion suggestion for the wiki
ORD-STL-DFW-SJU-DFW-STL-ORD £478 for 520TP
note the DFW-SJU is in business and earns 140

Yes, I spotted this a few days ago and flagged it up in the 2012 thread. At £0.91/TP it's not as good an earner as the LAS-LAX-MCO-MIA-SJU run that's been regularly mentioned but it's a nice way of starting a TP run in the US without having to position over in LAS. There's a choice of 2 daytime routings per day but you can't avoid overnighting in SJU.

Dates available in March.I booked a wt+ in the sale to EWR for £378 I think.Uua and then go EWR-MIA-SJU next day a reasonably cheap A fare, for 100tp.
I slip in an extra LAX-LAS sector which increases the round trip to 980 tier points for the same price. The BA ticket is booked in the current sale, same price to return, and the AA flights on AA.com.
Its a bit of a grind if you try to do it in one hit,but a couple of days on the beach at each end makes life much easier.
Also has the potential to earn a divorce if one is not careful

Having done intra Europe TP runs, and just possibly tempted by the AA based ones I'm curious as to whether anyone has had any problems at US immigration as to the reason for their "vacation"?

I flew it a couple of years ago for a laugh and at the time you could get back the same evening
we had to wait 24 hours between landing and picking up an RV so we just flew some more

I think you can tack on AZO, LEX or SBN somewhere too

I've had a comment at check-in and at the AA offfice in LAS about my weird routing but nothing from customs / immigration.
Someone did have some bother in Aruba as he mentioned it in his trip report and I'm sure BingBongBoy had a bit of questioning at one point as well.

Suppose it depends on where you go. A single male traveller popping over to somewhere popular for drug smuggling may make alarm bells ring.

Landing at LAX from MIA and the FA was reading out the connection gates ....
"this cant be right... Orlando gate xx" half the cabin had a chuckle, when I left I just said "I thought it was a long flight"

LAS-LAX-MCO-MIA-SJU and return is available for £515 at the moment = 740 TP at £0.70/point.

Might have to force AA site to choose certain flights. Find your routing using ITA first.

You can JER to LGW-RAK-LGW for just a resonable price, advances the ratio a bit.

JER-LGW-RAK r/t should be 340GBP which means 1,42 GBP/TP

Other domestic destinations are also avaible but I dont know how many TPs you get, as there as no C class on board.

20 TPs per UK Domestic leg on a CE/CW/F booking.
10 TPs per UK Domestic leg on a ET/WT/WTP booking.

Not quite:

20 TPs per UK Domestic leg on a WTP/CE/CW/F booking.
10 TPs per UK Domestic leg on a ET/WT booking

UK Dom sector bookings into J when coupled with a WTP sector. (Although in some rare occurrences, some TAs will book in to Y, however this still qualifies for 20 TPs).

Nope it's 20 on the domestic leg of a long-haul WTP itinerary (there's got to be some benefit of living out in the regions and having to connect via LON for onward destinations!)

That's interesting. Can you tell I've never flown WTP/WT?
