SJU is a domestic flight, no immigration either end.

My suggestion:

Position yourself to LIN (either on BA or a LCC).

LIN-LHR Club Europe 40TP
LHR-DFW Club World 140TP
DFW-OMA Business 40TP

LAS-JFK Business 140TP
JFK-LHR Club World 140TP
LHR-LIN Club Europe 40TP

That's pricing at 3125EUR on BA (£2550). There may be better options, but someone else will find them quicker than I can. Minimum TPs for this run will be 520.

Then, add the following, booked on AA.com

OMA-DFW First 60TP
DFW-SJU Business 140TP
SJU-MIA Business 40TP
MIA-LAS First 210TP

This prices at £510. It nets an extra 450TPs.

Total cost: £3060, for 970TPs at a cost of £3.15 per TP.

Not a great cost, but as you've got to make the trip to OMA anyway, and you'll be paying for that flight, the extra 80TPs for going from LIN (or 40 if you "miss" your return connection at LHR) and then the add on SJU trip makes for some pretty cheap extra TPs.
If you can find a routing from LCY-JFK as part of your itinary you will earn 210 tier points each way in CW,rather than the standard 140.

I did try and look for this, but only found the LIN legs to/from LCY available. It
Might be possible, but I couldn't price it.

Hello,

As my preparation for the Worldcup Soccer 2014 in Brasil I am trying to get the highest status on all alliances. Now I am aiming for Oneworld after getting SEN/Gold on Star. I am now already at 530 TP and would aim to get gold or maybe even GGL this year, so will be high valued next year.

I am now in SCQ,VGO or OPO and need to go to

1) Bru
2) RGN, need to be there on 25 januari

Then I have the RGN - NYC on Airfrance.

Will be in NYC from 28 januari till 03 februari. I would be loving doing here a MR run in orde to optimise everything, maybe also going to HNL.

Who can help me.
Thanks

There are some i7 sale fares to HNL available from much of Europe at present and thinking of trying out big island.

Can some help me with the ITA matrix entry to look at different routes. Was thinking DFW might be useful rather than lax but I can't get that route on matrix based on i7 sale.

Grateful for any help.

Use the standard code to get the cheapest starting point from amongst the usual suspects.

I just tried the '/alliance oneworld' advanced code and was offered options via DFW (starting in MIL).

You can 'help' it by suggesting routing points, e.g. LON, NYC, LAX works, whereas LON, NYC, DFW. LAX breaks the number of transfers rule, although NYC-DFW is less than 2000 miles.

You can try and price it on AA.com, and if you can get it to price at the same cost as on BA, then book through AA as you'll almost certainly be credited the F TPs.
Remember, you don't have to buy the ticket from AA to get the extra TPs, you just have to be booked on the AA flight number in A rather than the BA codeshare in I. Assuming there is availability in the relevant fare bucket(s), and the fare rules allow it, BA can do this, just not via BA.com .... all you have to do is call them!

This crossed my mind, but I wasn't sure if BA would charge an offline fee, with the OP not being Gold?

I managed to avoid the offline fee when I was Silver using a bogus sob story about "BA.com not working properly" trying to book the trip - I recall mentioning that I wanted AA metal bits booked under the AA code not a BA codeshare [and muttering something about booking into A not I, without actually mentioning TPs!] but YMMV

Unfortunately thats too early for me, but thanks for checking. Dammit.

I checked the routing, and I can go from BRU for less: EUR 1,947
BRU LHR - 40TP
LHR DFW - 140TP
DFW OMA - 40TP (60TP hopefully)
LAS JFK - 140TP (210TP hopefully)
JFK LHR - 140TP
LHR BRU - 40TP

So thats £1,587 for 540TP at worst, 630TP at best.
Per TP, thats £2.93 at worst, £2.51 at best.

Did the LHR price pop overnight? The trip priced from/to London just went up over £800 compared to yesterday!? ITA Matrix seems to be pricing an I4 fare - previously it was I5 - does this make sense to anyone?! I dont know what it means.

OK, not as lucrative but:

OMA-DFW First 60TP
DFW-MCO First 60TP
MCO-MIA First 60TP
MIA-LAS First 210TP

£780 for 390TPs. A standard OMA-DFW-LAS (which you'll need even if you don't do a TP run), is £444 and nets 120TPs. So you're getting an extra 270TPs for an extra £336.

If you're really dedicated to TP runs, however, you could do an SJU turn:

OMA-DFW First 60TPs
DFM-MCO First 60TPs
Depart OMA at 730pm and arrive MCO at midnight. Overnight MCO.
Dep MCO 730am.
MCO-MIA First 60TPs
MIA-SJU Business 40TPs
SJU-MIA Business 40TPs
MIA-LAS First 210TPs.

£798 for 470TPs. Ultimately an extra 350TPs for £336, but it's a long day so it depends what those TPs will mean to you!
