We have just got our $120 gift card e-mail 2 weeks after our stay. (2 rooms, 3 nights)
We registered for the AAA promotion, but this hotel did not offer AAA rate, so as it was mentioned above, AAA means the subprogram you registered for, not the room rate you have.

Is there a trick to getting stays to auto-post? None of mine ever do. Then, after I request and get them manually posted, the promos never auto-post. And then, when I request whatever promo be honored, BW usually attempts to squirm out of that (mostly under the assumption that since it didn't auto-post, I must not qualify).
I have always booked on bw.com (logged in) and sometimes resubmit my BW# at the hotel. I don't think I have had any auto-posts of 10 or so stays over the past couple of years.

What rate are you using?
As a AAA member, I always use my AAA rate, and it has never failed to post, in several dozens stays a year over many years. However, I mostly stay at the same few BW hotels over and over again.
How many different BW hotels have not auto-posted for you? I'm wondering if it could the particular hotels?

It is too many times to just be random. Something is wrong, but maybe it is just my account.

BW has about 10 different subprograms, for not just AAA but also Ride Rewards and all sort of other tie-ins.

So far so good. $120 - 2 weeks after a 3 day/2 room stay in Paris.
$120 was accepted with no problem in a Scottsdale BW. One week later we got $60 for the 3 day stay there.
Something good: we got points based on the oriiginal price, and not the price we actually paid after the $120 redemption.
As for the AAA subprogram: I do not see any AAA on our (very old) Bestwestern card, but our AAA# is on-file (we have never needed to show the AAA card), and we always get 10% bonus 'for AAA Preferred Members' after every stay even if we stay in BW hotels that do not offer AAA rates. So probably we are in the AAA subprogram too?

So I'm sure you're BW AAA, I'm just still not sure about jm1991 who is the one who reported above only getting $10 per stay in this promo despite registering for the BW AAA version of the promo.

Has anyone gotten the $20/night reward if they have NOT used the AAA rate for booking? I was going to use points for an upcoming stay, but if I get $20 instead of $10 for this promotion using my corporate rate (cheaper than AAA), I would pay for the stay.

I got $120 for 2 room/3 nights in a Paris BW, that does not offer AAA rates.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but if you pay with an AMEX card you get $20 back off of a $100.00 purchase at the hotel location or online booking. For only cardholders with the best western offer listed in their accounts. Expires 8/23/17
I plan on using the AMEX offer and also register for the travel card etc.

What matters is that you are a BW AAA member, not just an BW member, plus that your registered for the BW AAA version of the promo, plus that you use a qualifying rate (ie, a rate that earns points).
But do you have experience with your corporate rate at BW in terms of whether you earn points when using it or not? Ie, do you know for sure whether your corporate rate is "qualifying"?
