The Hotel is a good hotel but it's not as new or nice as the Encore. For $104 a night it's a steal though.

this may be off-topic. I am staying in theHotel using FHR over the next weekend. One thing I always struggle with in LV is the cab line. I have looked to see if there a reasonably price car service (which is what I always use when i travel) and the only once I found were about $60 for a one way ride, which seems insane for a 10 minute ride from the airport to theHotel. Anyone has a driver recommendation?

I rent a car every time. Hotels do not charge to valet park and it is very easy to get around

Just looking at a stay in January and the Madarin Oriental looks good with its $200USD food credit, upgrade at reservation along with the $ 100 spa credit.
I just wondered if anyone has experience of the breakfast offered here, is it any good and also what are the daily internet charges like?
Thanks

Stayed there in 2010. The breakfast in the MOzen was great-lunch was very good also. They did not offer fresh squeezed juice on the FHR breakfast, complained and was offerred the juice (silly). Don't remember the internet charges. Spa was also pretty good. The strip view rooms can be very noisy as they face an open air market with loud music on the other side of the road. Overall we enjoed it and have been back to eat at Twist even when staying at another hotel. Enjoy.

The free breakfast was at Grand Lux, but I think I was charged on my bill and didn't catch it until much later.
Got a great room overlooking the strip.

I think each property offers a "special amenity". I was just at THE hotel at Mandalay Bay and we got an $80 credit, per room (3 rooms) for breakfast. It could have been just for the Cent card, but I think it is listed as the special amenity of the Amex letter you get when you check in.
