So you're agreeing with the 3rd agent i spoke with then...interesting. I figured that if you're flying over India to BKK why can't you stop over on the way.

So in order to get 100K in J or 120K in F you must take a nonstop flight from the European hubs to Asia only?

More accurately, you can only visit countries listed in the Asia 1 group.

LX F now shows available through AP on the YUL-ZRH route starting in November 2010, 3 days a week.

Unless you are going on your trip in the near future, your IST-HKG leg is going to be downgraded to J...the planes that TK will be using for this route do not have first class on them.

Unless I can't count... Your trip has 12 segments - technically you can only have 10...

I'm flying next month so lets hope it doesn't get downgraded!
12 segments that right. I dont know why people keep saying the 10 segment rule. This is my 3rd reward ticket this year with more than 10 segments and i've asked many aeroplan agents about this and not one has said this rule. As long as the routing and MPM is valid, u are fine.

Wow, this is a new one. I just finished a booking today and the agent didn't let me book more than 10 segments.

So again it's a YMMV thing...

You've been exceptionally lucky with a string of inept agents. Most are fully aware of the 10 segment limit...and enforce it.

The only time I've ever been granted more than 10 segments is when I've been rerouted due to schedule changes.

Do you know what the mileage is like for your trip? I just called in to try to do:

toronto -> munich -> istanbul -> hong kong, but they said that it was way over mileage and that it would be next to impossible to fly through europe to hong kong.
