New elite level after itin. already booked (not flown)
Hi all,
I remember reading a few comments over the past months regarding this topic but I couldn't find any in the search. I apologize for the repeat.
I booked a trip on co.com for the holidays. When I booked it, I was still NW Gold. Now my last trip has hit my NW WP acct and I'm NW Platinum (first time for me - WOO HOO!). I called CO and asked if they needed to update the reservation and he said no. He looked up my account and first read off the Gold Elite line and then said he saw me as a Platinum thru Feb 29. He said the computer would automatically pick that up.
I'm kind of skeptical and I thought all of the other comments I read on here said they need to actually update the reservation or the lower elite level still applies for EUA. Thoughts?
Thanks in advance,
Rob M.

I am only familiar with United. For a reservation already booked at a lower status level need to have reservations delete the FF number and re-enter it into the reservation for the new status to appear. At United there is also about a 3 day delay for the new status to be available to reservations after it shows up on Mileage Plus. I would assume most other airlines are similar. But we all know what happens when you assume
