Activities & Who is doing what:

Oz Fest 10 takes place in Perth this Memorial Day weekend from Friday 24 May 2013 to Sunday 26 May 2013 involving a full program of activities to show off the best of Perth’s culture, history and food.

Registrations of activities is taking place through here --> Trybooking.com Oz Fest 10 web site (An Australian based web site). Click the link to process your registration.

*A Flyer has volunteered to manage this site and look after the funds, as he did for Oz Fest 9 in CBR last year.
Please read all instructions carefully to ensure that your registration & payment is properly processed.
Any inquiries should be directed to OzFest at mail.com [not gmail]

An activity register has been set up so you can see who is doing what.

Friday 24 May 06:00 pm Welcome drinks
Venue: Rigby's Bar, 221 St Georges Terrace (very near the Hilton)
Cost: Absolutely free - just buy your own drinks
Meet your fellow participants from around the world for a drink. Friday nights in bars tend to be very busy.
Just showing up on the night is OK, even if you are not listed in post 3 as an official attendee.
Take the free CAT bus to the Friday night dinner (see post 6 below)

Friday 24 May 08:00 pm Welcome Dinner
Venue: Uncle Billys in Northbridge
Cost : $44 pre paid activity for the meal.
Drinks to be paid for individually or per table
Casual Asian restaurant in the Northbridge area. Get there on the Blue CAT free bus

Saturday 25 May: Early morning walking tour of Kings Park
Hosted by Across the Nullarbor (a Perth resident)
Cost : nothing.
Please register so we have a indication of how many will attend
See Perth at its best far above the city center.

Saturday 25 May: Trip to Fremantle mid morning & afternoon River Ferry Bookings Closed
Float down the famous Swan river to Fremantle.
Leave by Ferry at 09:45 Be at the dock 09:20. Arrive Fremantle 11:05
Cost: $22.00 for the ferry cruise:- Pre paid activity to get a ferry group discount.
Ferry seats are limited so please register as above

Alternatively take a chance to buy your tickets before embarkation (no group discount).
There is also a later ferry at 11:05 (no group discount)

Lunch in Fremantle at Cicerellos or one of the many other places (Little Creatures, one of the many fish'n'chips places) No lack of choice. No lunch reservation will be made:- sort it out it the and pay on the day.

A lot to see & do in Fremantle in the afternoon:- pubs, many restaurants, market, Maritime museum, visit a submarine and more pubs.

Fremantle also has frequent rail access from Perth, so it's quite easy to get back to Perth. Could easily be down there for lunch, spend the afternoon walking around, and be back in Perth for the evening. The highlight of my visit is just walking around looking at the gorgeous buildings. There is also an indoor marketplace.
Return by train (Transperth) at the time of your choosing. Buy your $4 ticket for the train at the station

The Oz Fest main dinner.. Enjoy a meal and evening with Oz Fest people. Most people go to this
Venue Hyatt
Cost: $79 pre paid activity for the meal.
Drinks to be paid for individually or per table.
Venue has a varied menu to suit all tastes & dietary constraints. Has drinks that can be paid for individually by those who like a champagne/wine/beer/orange juice/water. We appreciate some like to drink a little more than others.

Note 1 We have to pay the venue in full by Friday 17 May, so your payment would be appreciated.

Sunday 26 May Swan Valley tour Sold Out

Cost: $32.00 for bus only. This is a pre-paid activity.
Pay individually at the wineries for drinks & meals
Departure 09:40 am from the Holiday Inn & 09:50 from the Hyatt.
Return to the city about 4:30 pm.
Lunch at one of the wineries or the Feral Brewery 12:45pm to 2:30pm
There are limited seats on the bus for 25 people. This is limited by the number's wineries can take. First in gets the seats. If needed we will wait list.
Note 1: 21st April. 25 seat bus full and wait list started

Sunday 26 May AFL footy at Subico : Fremantle vs Melbourne
Time: 2:40 pm kick off. Be at the ground at ~ 2:15 pm
Cost: to be advised.
Organised by serfty as post 252. Contact serfty to arrange tickets.

Getting there from Perth via train is very easy. Catch the Fremantle train from Perth and get off at West Leederville (not Subiaco) It was known as Subiaco Oval pre sponsorship days. Only a few stops from Perth and its free with a footy ticket.

Any inquiries should be directed to OzFest at mail.com [not gmail]

Registration should take place as soon as possible to facilitate the organization and planning of Oz Fest.
However, we understand that it may not be possible to confirm your attendance immediately.
Note that you do not need to attend all activates at Oz Fest. Locals sometimes only attend for drinks and/or meals.
Tickets are available for the whole weekend or for each activity.

To guarantee attendance at the other pre paid events (e.g. dinners) the deadline is 10th May (so we confirm numbers with the venues)

There are limited seats on the bus for 25 people. Limited by the numbers wineries can take First in gets the seats (others wait listed).
To guarantee a place on the Sunday tour the deadline to book is 10th May. At that point, the bus size may be adjusted to match numbers. We may run a second bus if sufficient numbers

Any registrations after those dates will be subject to clearance by Oz Fest management.

The price for all pre paid events is just A$177.00 including the Friday & Saturday meal costs (drinks are extra).
Please be aware that the Oz Fest organisers must prepay for some of the activities & venues, so your prompt payment is appreciated.

Payment can only be made by credit card via Trybooking
Payments are non refundable unless, someone else takes your place

The prices are set to cover the costs of processing payments as is the standard practice in Australia.
Please note that Trybooking charges A$0.30 per ticket which will be added to your total.
Trybooking fees to Oz Fest are about 3.2% (the % fee is how they make their money).
