Swan Valley Tour

The itinerary for the Swan Valley tour is coming together nicely. Apologies to those who didn't make it onto the main bus, but we had to limit the numbers so that the wineries would accommodate our group. Even so it was suprisingly difficult to find wineries for the afternoon.

The main tour will be making the following stops, the self-drive bus will be similar but different (not yet finalised).

9:40am depart Wellington Street Bus Station (not Holiday Inn due to road closures)
9:50am depart Hyatt

1. Sandalford Winery
The second-biggest winery in the Swan Valley, and the oldest (established 1840). A very picturesque place to start our day.

2. Lancaster Wines
One of my favourite family-run wineries with great wines and relaxing atmosphere... especially nice on a sunny day so let's home the weather is good.

3. Margaret River Chocolate Company
Quick stop at the chocolate factory to taste some chocolate... otherwise it looks like we're spending the whole day drinking.

4. Lunch at Feral Brewery
Buy your own lunch and enjoy a beer or two. They're all good. There is a menu on their website.

5. Swan Valley Wines
A smaller family-run winery with a great range of wines including some that we won't see at our other stops. I'm looking forward to picking up some "supplies" here.

6. Harris Organic
Another family run winery, this one is certified organic. I haven't visited them before and I'm looking forward to checking them out.

Approximately 4:30pm arrive back in the city

COST
The bus is prepaid. All the wineries charge for group tastings. The total cost of the tastings is $30 each, and I'll collect the money from everyone on the day. This includes a tasting glass from Harris Organic for you to keep - but I realise not everyone will want to keep the glass so I have negotiated a $7 refund for its safe return.

Also please ensure you bring enough cash for lunch as Feral don't allow split billing.
