Best Properties for Points!

Well the Hawaii property is history. Has anyone found an island type replacement that is an amazing value for redeeming loyalty points. I keep searching Wyndham/Cuba hoping they buy a property on that island!

I don't believe they can "buy" a property on Cuba. They can at most arrange to have a hotel get branded as one of the Wyndham group brands. I've heard the Cuban military actually owns the hotels that Starwood branded a few months ago.

In fact, most brands don't "own" most of their properties. Most branded properties are franchisees.

It's worth burning the points at most of the Grand Wyndhams. You could also look into the new option they just introduced where you can get condos and houses for your points.

Wyndham Santa Monica

The Wyndham Santa Monica is great value. It's across the street from the pier and beach, minutes from 3rd Street a Promenade, renovated rooms... On summer weekends, it can be over $350 - great value on points....

I'd say the better values out there are the All Inclusive properties. You can have up to four people in a room on a Go Free award. Killer deal.
