Biking around Kanab, UT?

My buddy and I are doing Vegas over Memorial Day, then off to southern Utah to check out the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.

We'll stay in Kanab a couple of nights.

Anyone have a recommendation on mountain bike rental for a day? Looks like some interesting trails outside the park and up near Kanab.

I assume you're spending just one day at the North Rim. Kanab is a bit far away for more than one in-and-out. Otherwise, consider the lodge at the rim or the Kaibab Lodge or Jacob Lake Inn. Fredonia, Arizona is quite close to Kanab, Utah, so check rates for both places. I'd ask whatever hotel/motel you choose for mountain bike ideas. The last time we stayed at Fredonia, in October, it was the start of hunting season, when I would not want to be out in the boonies on a bike (unless I had a big sign "I am not a deer!" on me).

Yep, one day at North Rim. Luckily no hunting over Memorial Day.
