Do you have a source for this info ? There doesn't seem to be anything about it on the V Australia website .

VA passengers will be relieved with this news, especially when originating from BNE. Can you imagine having no lounge access as a premium passenger in BNE? Premium VA passengers used the MH lounge in SYD. The NZ lounge will get even more crowded in SYD now.

My apologies , BNE lounge is now showing on the V Australia website . I guess it makes sense with NZ's investment in Virgin Blue Holdings .

BNE lounge not that great

I wouldn't get too excited about the BNE lounge. It is a lounge but is pretty basic, good for wifi and a shower but nothing that great. Food and drink isn't very good and it looks a bit run down.

We use it when flying J on CI but wish that CI was in the same alliance with Qantas so we could use the Qantas lounge.

Oh, believe me, the QF lounge in BNE isn't that fantastic. It's fine but pales in comparison with the QF lounges in SYD and MEL.

Agreed. I fly BR business BNE/TPE occasionally and they use Qantas lounge. It is even lamer than the BR lounge (the one that hasn't and probably won't be renovated) at TPE.
