Tipping on services at London Clubhouse

For the free massage and haircut services that are available to Upper Class passengers at the LHR Clubhouse, how much do you tip them?
Just curious as it will be my first time there.

I'm not sure if its expected, probably not. But I have always tipped GBP5 for a haircut and GBP2 for a massage.

No it is not expected but it will be appreciated.

They won't be holding their hand out or pointing at a silver tray as you leave the room - unlike the experience I once had in another airlines spa!

I tip 20GBP for a haircut, 5 GBP for shoeshine.

I know, but I'm an American and I overtip.

I do half your amount for hair, fiver for pedicure ... it's kind to tip and much appreciated but I like that the staff there are not pushing for one and if you don't then it's accepted with no issue. So it's up to you ... but do and you can feel that little bit better!

If we have got good service (and we always have thus far at LGW) we give them 20.

For a haircut I always tip either a fiver or a tenner - as said, there is no expectation and no guilt-making if you don't, but if you do, it is always appreciated by the team there.

20 is more than double the price of a haircut at my barber, let alone tip!

Wow, I never even considered tipping for massages and other services in the lounge. Wish I hadn't read this thread as now I'll feel guilty next time I don't tip!

As already stated tipping is NOT expected therefore feel no guilt for not tipping.

Don't forget the shoe shine guy.... Drop your shoes off (swap for slippers), collect at your convenience. I normally tip a fiver.

No tipping here. No-one here's going to get deeply offended by being offered free money, but in an airline lounge in the UK it's simply not required.

Would never tip in this situation.

I disagree with those who argue it does no harm; in British culture tipping in situations where it isn't customary has mildly patronising class undertones.
