Missed SFO-SEA on Sunday 1/31. The seats got snarfed while I was on the phone with the agent at exactly 24 hours.

I upgraded to Main Select from SFO to IAD.. well worth the $100.... I did First from IAD to SFO.. not worth it. The only thing different is the seat and maybe the meal..... it did not "knock my socks" off first class. I'll stick with the MS seats....

I upgraded from Economy to first for a LAX-JFK for a FEB 4th flight 24 hrs prior. It was my first time flying Virgin so I thought I'd splurge. I was excited. Loved the red carpet layout when you come to the check in counter. I was escorted to security and breezed right thru in a special line. Boarded early; everything seemed great.

Review:

I thought the food was really mediocre in 1st. It all sounded interesting but was fairly bland. Stewardesses were terrific, the seat was comfortable, but you couldn't feel the massage. Played w/ the media player and saw that no one is in the chat rooms.

I recently flew business class on American for the same route and have flown in 1st on United. Virgin in my mind isn't as good. On American, they handed out Bose headphones w/ your media kit and the food was much better. I thought the food on United was better too. I didn't drink much on the plane as I was working, but I wasn't overly impressed with the wine selection.

I don't think I'll upgrade to 1st again. I would definitely try MCS seats though.

SNA - SFO

Upgraded from MC to F on SNA - SFO run (3 pax). First flight out, so the benefit of shorter security line will help in SNA. Looking forward to trying the seats, though such a short flight. Great deal considering baggage fee waived and free drink

Miss at checkin for 780 SEA-LAX- both F and MCS were sold out. My BP says SEQ001- meaning I was the first to check in.

Pretty impressive that VX is selling their premium products on a 2.5 hour flight- though it's a busy day for flying to LA (almost all flights are sold out).

Yeah, midwinter school break starts for many schools here (not to mention President's weekend)...

Someone cancelled at the gate, so I snagged that F seat (change my miss to a hit). Fruit, muffin, breakfast tapas were all good, as were the mimosas.

Just grabbed the only available F seat on VS 23 JFK-SFO on 2/15. Checked in online at exactly 24 hrs. Well worth the $250 for a trans-con from a $99 fare. This will be my first time flying VX.

Got 3 seats back home from Vegas again. One bag was put on the wrong flight, but recovered an hour later. Getting my bag back today.

Miss: VX755 - SEA-SFO

The strange thing is that I can access the SFO-LAX leg of this itinerary (departs 17:35). It lets me change seats, but throws an error when processing my credit card payment

Phoned reservations and they told me to try at 17:35

Got the last MC->MCS on the SFO-LAX leg. I have a checked bag (connecting onto VA), so it is worthwhile.

Had to call reservations as the website still wouldn't accept my Australian credit card... missed out on the window seat while waiting on hold for reservations (10-15 mins) and for them to read their script about what MCS provides.

I hope reservations and the website are the only things to go downhill since I last flew VX - it's been a while.
