This is a VS lounge, so they are open during the times of VS flights, not VX flights. They allow VX pax entry while they happen to already be open. This is true for all 3 airports.

thanks.
It's landside, upstairs, on the south side of the main concourse at Terminal 4. And there's a large luggage storage area in back, near the restrooms and showers.

Speaking of lounges, I'll be in the SFO one tomorrow for lunch, from 11:30-1-ish.

Guess I'll miss you again. I'll be there Monday morning, and perhaps Thursday...

Actually, I found out the hours at SFO are as follows (the website has been updated):

Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday: 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

My flight leaves at 2. So I am at Firewood Grill and using the T-Mo Internet instead. Somewhat more economical, but not as loungey.

why cant refundable coach class tickets be allowed in the JFK lounge? The price of one of those tickets costs as much as main cabin select. My company only allows me to purchase fully refundable tickets. so currently this "due to capacity" rule stinks for me.

Btw, had a good experience at the IAD clubhouse last week. Food was good, service was excellent.

Since it's refundable, couldn't you swap it for a MCS ticket at the airport?

Lounge access expanded

Lounges are now in SFO, IAD and JFK. My apologies if this is old news.

Not sure if this will link to the right article, but here goes:

Yeah, I need to get out more.

Nothing like mass hysteria to put a damper on international travel budgets.

I'm new to this forum. I know Virgin America and Virgin Atlantic are separate. Just curious about club access, I have my first trip planned on Virgin America in May on a revenue F ticket.

If I use an airport with a Clubhouse, will my Virgin Atlantic Gold status card either provide me access to the Clubhouse for free when flying on Virgin America or possibly provide me future pay access when I am flying on an economy class ticket through a city where the clubhouse is normally only restricted to F passengers?

In either case, for this upcoming trip I suspect there will be no clubhouses to use on my LAX-SEA itinerary. My guess is that Virgin LAX departs close to Continental and that I can use their President's Club. Just not sure what other airline lounge may be near the Virgin America gates in SEA.

The lounge access is different for all three airports where it exists. For SFO, you can be flying in any cabin on VX, and pay for VS lounge access during the hours when VS is approaching departure (Sun, Mon, Wed, Fri: 10:30am-4pm, Tue, Thu, Sat: 1pm-4pm). For IAD and JFK, you must be in VX F to pay to enter the VS lounge (IAD: 3pm-7pm, JFK: 2:30pm-9pm). To answer your actual question, your VS Gold will not make any difference at all, unless you are flying in VS F.

Correct. And there are no lounges convenient to the VX gates in SEA. DL used to be the closest, but they closed that one. Now the closest would either be AS or NW, but they are not close at all.
