This is a really broad question. The US is quite large with many different climate zones that will vary by season.

What are you looking for?

When are you looking to visit?

How much time do you have?

Single location or multiple spots?

I live in NY and am headed to Yosemite in California with my brother & father next week for some camping, meteorite watching (it's really dark there) and fly fishing which is something my family enjoys doing at our cabin in upstate NY. Excited for it but it's the kind of thing we really enjoy.

Skidaway Island State Park in Savannah, Georgia is my favourite vacation destination in USA. I visited with my fiancé there last year and feels really amazing by seeing the beauty of this park. It’s really a good place for family vacations also. I really like to go there again with family in future.

I agree, Lake Mead is fantastic.

North Georgia has some pretty cool nature, if you're into decent weather, mountains and trees. (Honorable mention: Savannah GA I recommend everyone on earth visit at-least once).

What's with all these threads with a bunch of low post count people talking to each other about nonsensical, broad topics? Seems weird to me. Same with the moving to the USA thread.

Try Central Oregon. Endless hiking, biking, rafting, boating, and good food. Fly into RDM and go to Bend, Sunriver, or Sisters.

I’d vote for northern Michigan - especially Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore near Traverse City, and Tahquamenon Falls and Pictures Rocks in the Upper Peninsula. And if you really want to avoid people, go in the winter.

If you are a nature lover then you must visit Louisville. It is one of the best summer vacation destination and greener with relatively less water around. There are many green hills to visit if you are such kind of person. It's one of the best places in the USA to spend some quality time family and just relaxes.

Go and explore this place.

Hope this helps you!!
