Are the airside places new? I travelled last summer and was told to go out security. Had a long layover so it was OK.

Security is so much easier when you don't have anything but your ID and a boarding pass.....

Landside? Almost every US airport has one buried near the UPS/Fedex drop boxes. Airside, not so much. I wouldn't count on it.

If it's really just a postcard then just ask at gift shops until someone will mail it for you.

In truth, these have been moving targets (OK, bad term) at some airports, moved with each new security concept/regime at the airport.

If you're a male, and have the aversion to asking directions, one fairly reliable place to look, where they often finally end up: Waaay down at the end of the departures or arrivals roadway.

No mailboxes at MIA or LAX.

Are there other airports without mailboxes?

Interesting. LAX was one where I thought they had legs over the years. Guess they just kept on walking...

CLT - Near the C security checkpoint if you walk down towards the D concourse it is on the left near the ATMs.

There is a stand alone mailbox in front of the UA domestic terminal at SFO located at the far right (as you face the terminal from the street) by the last entrance door and smoking area

DFW:
A20, B14, C12, D23, E11 (in a vending machine cluster area)

DEN:
Their website says all concourses. I know there is one in B in that center area, towards B37.

I find that if an airport has them, they generally list them on their webpage somewhere.

I once noticed a placard in Spanish on a mailbox in MIA. I asked someone what it said, and basically it was "This is not a garbage can".

MCI has a post office on the airport grounds. Opens at 10 on weekdays-learned that the hard way.

That's correct, MIA has silver drop boxes outside security. One is located across from the duty Free Americas store, level 2, between E & F

All blue USPS drop boxes were removed back in May of 18' from the Charlotte airport terminal.

However, a USPS letter drop (letters only) has been found in the baggage area (ground floor) near carousel A1. There is a wall of po boxes just to the left of the carousel that seems to serve business operations at the airport, within the bank of po boxes there are letter slots clearly labeled US Mail. I called the local USPS office and verified that they do indeed drop off and pick up mail on a daily basis from this bank of po boxes.
