Ever get a 2nd companion upgrade?

Ever get a 2nd companion upgrade?
I'm flying PHL-LAS-SFO Tuesday with 2 co-workers on business. Same PNR, I'm Silver. Obviously the PHL-LAS 757 is full in F. But the LAS-SFO is wide open(about 10 now). Anyone ever score three upgrades when calling the Preferred line, or is it waste of time?

I was able to get an upgrade right at midnight for one coworker and I called later and they offered to upgrade another. I dont think she knew I already upgraded someone.
