Poor Customer Service today on the Phone
Hi,
I had a schedule change I called in to adjust today and the representative told me they would push my flight to the next day due to the change, proceeded to provide me with seat assignments, confirmed the flights and I hung up. I signed into my online account after I hung up to verify the informatioon and the reservation was all messed up and I couldnt opened it to view it!
I called US Airways back and they said the agent made a note on the itinerary that they couldn't make the change because there were no flights in the same fare code. You know, its fine if it can't be done, but 1) don't tell me you changed it if you really didn't. 2) The agent should have called me back rather then leaving my reservation all locked up and in limbo.
Anyway, they put me back on the original flights because although they gave me the wrong information they maintained I would owe them the difference in airfare by changing to another flight due to a schedule change.

A 20-minute change doesn't trigger a free rebooking and CS was correct. They are apparently waiving the $150 change fee and simply charging you the difference between what you paid and what the new ticket costs.
You could try calling back and reframing your request as just that. You aren't entitled to be rebooked, but you would appreciate it if the CSR could find a way to do it. Maybe you get the change and maybe you don't, but don't get your hopes up. You should have a good reason as to why 20 minutes necessitates the change.
