Have people received communications regarding their preferred qualification for 2012?

I got a welcome to silver status email and I had been short. Any idea why they are offering that out? I was 7k short and 6 segments. I'll take it though.

MrsCP received a "welcome to Silver" note even though she barely traveled last year - 18 segments, 11K miles.
I've received nothing so far. I barely nudged over Silver (PLT on AA this year) and will probably rely on my lifetime MM Silver from here on out.

Am I right to assume that "downgrade" emails may not arrive until March? I mean... if you're a CP and you get "welcome to Gold" you might be kind of annoyed, especially if you aren't officially downgraded until March 1?

My GF got her welcome to Silver on 1/25; she did qualify for it. I havent gotten anything yet; was CP, only got 61k miles last year...

Nothing here yet. I was/am CP, but had all US miles credited to UA now that I'm lifetime Silver on US. When they combine my UA and Continental miles, I'll be just under 100K short of lifetime in the UA program, so until I cross that plato, I'll be flying US, but all miles go to UA.

I didn't get my downgrade welcome email yet. I don't want to see it!!!
It was nice being CP for two years in a row. 100% upgrades (including my companions). I'll miss that.
I will have to fly now with my 1K friend for his upgrades and credit my miles to US.
