FC Decrease in Meal Service SJU-PHL
I just made my usual voyage from STX to DCA and am sad to report that the meal service in Envoy Class on flight 98 from SJU-PHL was reduced. In the past you would get bread, salad, a choice of 2 entrees (usually pasta or chicken), and chocolate cake. Yesterday only a cold chicken wrap and cold pasta salad were served...from what I've seen of them I would have rather had the option to buy a meal from in flight cafe. I saw at least one person not even touch the meal and just send it back. The FA (one of the regulars) made a sarcastic (in a funny/empathetic way) "delicious isn't it?" comment. Maybe this is just due to the fact that it was a holiday (MLK day), but if this is the permanent meal situation this is a bit sad.
A week and a half earlier I had gone DCA-CLT-STX (Saturday flight) and the meal service was normal with excellent service from our FA Nancy. She was so nice, even giving us choices of red wines somehow (must've been a few leftover from a previous flight). I had to send in one of those comment cards with a raving review for her service.
Anyone know if they are still serving decent meals in Envoy for the CLT-LGW transatlantic flights? I'm flying that route next month and I'm curious.

Either way, its disappointing to see the downsized meal after doing this route every 2-3 weeks for a year! The times we are in may dictate such action. I just wish they'd offer to sell me a good meal then as the food at SJU is the worst ANYWHERE! There are no options to find food to bring aboard short of a Dominoes in the American terminal which I rarely have time to make after getting in from STX.

Yup! We noticed the same thing over New Years....always got full meal service and now it is a "snack." We got a roll but no butter. Kind of lame, but as has already been mentioned this flight has never really had "envoy" service despite that they use the 330.

Sorry, I couldn't resist.
