I got my gold upgrade kit today. Reading through the stuff they sent me, there's a URL for the "gold preferred offers", which contains a number of pretty nice deals (free Hertz and National club memberships, free HHonors Silver, etc.)

Has anybody ever tried to use the Crowne Plaza coupons? There's coupons for a free room upgrade, free in-room movie, free continental breakfast, etc.

(I also noticed that the CP offers (found by simple URL manipulation) give you free HHonors Gold)

Don't settle for HHonors Silver. There's too many people out there with Gold.

If you want, check in the Hilton Forum and search for the best way to gold

I'm already HH Gold (and my message hinted at another way to get it for free )

I was mostly interested in finding out if anybody had used the Crowne Plaza coupons, and if so, how easy they are to use.

Why? There's nothing special there. I'm a CP and a) hadn't noticed some of those bennies and b) didn't have that link handy. It was useful. Now it's gone. What was the point? It harmed nobody.
