I am curious about this one - I have the FTD certificate as well, but was worried that it might invalidate the hit. Would love to hear a confirmation when your points post!

I just started yesterday. I'm at 9 with two already posting.

1. Marriott Transfer (10K to 2K). No real cost as these were pretty much orphaned points. I don't stay at Marriott (I'm always Hilton) and I didn't really have enough to do anything else with them. (POSTED)
2. Biscoff - $30 including shipping
3. DM Shopping - Made a $5 donation to PetsMart charities.
4. ShareBuiler - Opened an account. Hopefully the 2,500 miles show and count as a hit without having to trade.
5. Magazines for Miles - -500 DM for Details (POSTED)
6. DM Toolbar Searches (did 9 for 3 miles)
7. SkyMall - Bought a bottle opener that I will actually use.
8. Thanks Again - 500DM for Facebook Like
9. Points.com US-AA-US conversion. The 10US miles are out of my account. Just waiting on Points to convert them so I can convert them back.

I'll have the following in the next few weeks:
10. Hertz rental
11. SuperShuttle
12. DM Dining

Possibles in the future:
13. 1800Flowers
14. Audience Rewards
15. FTD
16. OfficeMax (waiting for the bugs to be worked out)
17. Teleflora

I have a work trip next week (see 10-12 above) and I'm staying at a Homewood Suites. Since their US miles "awarded" is below the minimum for this contest, I'm hoping to get a hotel stay later. With the extra HH points from their double promotion, I'll consider transferring points for a hit. I also have a trip to London next month where I'm staying with a friend, and I may consider staying a night in a Hilton there (although it would be mighty pricey).

Realistically, I'll get to 16 hits. If work travel picks up, and I think it will, with the car rental and hotel hits, 24 might be attainable.

Right now I'm at 0.003469 per mile if everything listed above in 1-9 counts and hits my account.

Question: does US Airways do periodic sweeps where they email you or include online how many valid hits your have so far? I seem to recall someone saying that they do this every week (or 2 weeks)...

Track it Back made it Lucky #18, with nine hits posted. In 50% of the way there, or 25%, depending upon how you look at it. Now at 1.02c per mile.

They will do a sweep every two weeks beginning September 28 and post whatever bonus miles they think you earned to your account at that time. I don't expect to see any tally of hits, only the posting of bonus miles. Unless you had an exact multiple of 4 hits this makes it hard to tell which mileage postings were counted toward the bonus miles in that sweep.

Bonus miles appeared in "Your Miles" sometime in the afternoon. Last year they sent some email updates as well, but not very quickly or consistently.

Roger that last comment. I don't believe I have ever received an email update/notice reporting my numerous Grand Slam bonii.

At 17 right now. Currently in Germany for a project. Think if I was in a US project (I live in US), I would have been at 30 by now (I switched hotel and cars every day last year)

I'm up to 10 hits completed but only 3 posted so far, taking forever to see some of the activity.

Points not posting!

Hi,
I started most of my hits on 9/16 and only one has posted so far, and that's the removal of 1,500 points for the magazine. Should I be getting worried that nothing from 9/16 has posted to my US account yet?

On 9/16 I did:
Points.com - 1,001 Frontier Miles to 184 DM
e-miles (500) to DM
Netflix sign up for 1500 points through US
Toolbar download and 3 searches

On 9/17 I did:
US MC purchase
US Visa purchase
Holiday Inn Express one night stay

On 9/18 I did:
Shopping Mall purchase

I've done other hits as well like SuperShuttle no show at DFW on 9/20 and created a Sharebuilder account on 9/20 and DM Dining on 9/21.

Am I just being impatient? I've seen others say that their points.com posted the next day!

27. Buy US Airwasy Miles - I might just buy 1k miles to get a hit which is $27.50 + tax
28. Car Rental in Oct

After I hit 28 it will start getting pricey. I just started a few months ago collecting Airlines Miles. I wish I had various hotel points so I can transfer, it would of made it easier to reach 36 Hits.

Road to 36 HITS...

29. Car Rental
30. Car Rental
31. Car Rental
32. Hotel stay - Need to find cheapest stay in San Diego
33. Hotel stay - Need to find cheapest stay in San Diego
34. Hotel stay - Need to find cheapest stay in San Diego

36. Vinesse - don't know if I want that many wines

Anyway so far with 22 HITS I have spent $256.98. I didn't include my vacation rentals because that HITS so happen to fall on those dates. I'm hoping to spend less than 1k consdering people send $1,400 on buying 100k miles

I'm up to 26, will be 28 by tomorrow. That's counting Officemax though, which I did before it got fixed so I might have to (expensively) repeat that one.

I have 6 hotel stays not counted that are reserved during the promo period, so that leaves me with hopefully just 2 more to go. One more car rental, and one hotel transfer (Choice). Then I may try to do an extra hit just in case, but since so much time is remaining I should be good to go in terms of working out problems.

Total spend is at $325 right now for 26 hits, for all 36 we're looking at $380 or so. That includes all 6 car rentals which I don't need, but excludes my hotel stays (since I was doing those anyways).

Points.com can post within 24 hours, but for the others, yes you're being impatient. e-Miles posts in a monthly sweep. I think SuperShuttle posts in a weekly or bi-weekly sweep.

Just to be safe, double-check your points.com account and see if there's a status next to your transaction. The old points.com used to show a "pending" status if something was still being processed or if there was a mismatch in some info.

Thanks rrgg. I just checked points.com and it says "under review" so I guess that is better than nothing! I'll wait around for the rest to post. I just didn't want to get too far in before realizing I was doing something wrong (even though I think I'm fine).

Or if it says "under review," prepare for a battle.
