Direct from e-miles:
"As a Reminder, please note that any e-Miles miles earned that have not already been deposited to your current frequent flyer account will be lost, when switching to a new sponsor. e-Miles miles are non-transferable from one sponsor to another"
And then, in the same email:
"Please reply to this email and confirm if you would like to wait until you make a 500 mile deposit into your Alaska Airlines account or would you like us to switch you now to your XXXXX number, which means you will lose 10% - 15% percent of your current miles you have earned. You will also not be eligible for the 275 bonus enrollment miles. The bonus miles are for new enrollees only."

So that seems strange because in the same email they say you can't transfer miles, but you can "switch" to a different "XXXX Number. Is that not contradictory? I sent them an email saying that and we'll see what they say...

(Note: The e-miles rules say that you can only have one account per person)

As may be clear from above, I had already signed up for e-miles through AS. Since you can only have one account per person and the sign up bonus is only for new enrollees, I fear I may SOL.

Did anyone else who signed up for e-rewards through Hilton HHonors receive and email recently saying:
"We are pleased to inform you that you have qualified to receive a Bonus Reward of 500 Hilton HHonors(R) Bonus Points just for participating in your first e-Rewards survey."
I wonder if redeeming for the 500 HH points will lock me into redeeming with HH instead of US for GS 2011 (which was the whole point of me joining e-rewards in the first place).

Any expertise out there?

No, as long as you have the US option available you can redeem for it.

Yes indeed -- I noticed that. I was perhaps being too subtle in my last response, so I'll add this: The rules say you can only have one account... how and whether those rules are monitored, is up to e-miles.

Too subtle indeed. I emailed the CSR back and said I wanted change sponsors. We'll see what happens. Are you suggesting there is a backdoor way to change sponsors without going through the CSR? PM me if it's not appropriate for the open forum.

Thanks for all your help... And the OP

erewards

Wrote to erewards requesting to change my redemption to US Airways. Their answer was that it cannot be done. Honestly, why not. But they make the rules, so nothing is to be done.

I have $22.90 on e-rewards. I think it was Continental who invited me because I just realized I had a chance to claim 250 Continental Miles for free which I did.

When I reach $25 on erewards, can i transfer to U.S. dvidend miles for a "hit"?

U.S. airways is partner airline with Continental if this helps

Since you already did the 250 miles for free to Continental you must be familiar with the reward page. If and only if there is a US Airways option on that page then you can redeem $25 with US Airways.

there were many options on the rewards site...i just went down the list of all the airlines and all said i don't have enough dollars to redeem... I looked at each one and noticed the free 250 points so i think it may have been continental that invited me...

I know some have posted here saying it might be too late to sign up for e-rewards and accumulate enough ($25) to do the minimum transfer. I signed up in mid-August and I'm already up to $15 and change. Of course there's no guarantee you'll get enough, but if you fill out all the info and ask for as many surveys as possible, and importantly, have them email you notification when surveys are available so you can do them quickly, I think it's very doable to work up to $25 in the time left (over 2 months).

But YMMV. It would suck to work up to $24 and be waiting for that last survey in the final days of GS 2011.
