Question about the layout of CDG

I am arriving into CDG from IAD and I am going to meet up with friends who are coming in on KLM flight arriving from Amsterdam.

My question is - do these two flights arrive into the same terminal, or is the KLM one in a different one based on the inter EU flight?

Cheers

http://paris-cdg.com/ for the info you need.
They are both in Terminal 1. But they will be seperated (international vs Domestic) so you can only meet outside of customs.

dcpremex is right ; your best bet is to pick a spot outside of the customs area. If I remember correctly, there are two 'exits' from baggage claim at CDG1 : doors 2 and 36. They both open onto a common meeting-point area with cafe and shop. Perhaps Blair or another Parisien could suggest an easily found spot for a rendezvous because depending on the time of day, this area might be swamped with meeters and greeters.

We will be both arriving around 10:30AM on a Wednesday morning.

Anyone with a specific spot would be great -

Thanks -

Derik

The KLM flight will MOST likely clear through earlier than a UA flight. So I would have your friends flying KLM meet you at your baggage claim

And baggage claim at CDG is VERY SLOW. Your friends have enough time to get sick of the smoke (in the nonsmoking terminal, of course) in the time that it will take you to get your bags. Tell them to meet you outside the exit near door 34.

P.S. A very convenient ATM is located nearby. Take two right turns and you will see it on your right.

I don't think he can meet you at baggage claim since you will have to go through customs after baggage claim which he will not. The best would be to arrannge to meet outside of baggabe claim. Door 34 is a good suggestion. If you want to meet at a hotel for lunch or something, I would suggest the Hyatt Regency as the best close one.

Yes, smack between Customs Exits 2 and 34 (the terminal is circular in shape) is a caf, an Aroports de Paris (ADP) Information Counter, and a Meeting Point ("Point de Rendez-vous"). This would be the best place to hook up. If you want a specific spot that is the least crowded, choose the ADP Information Counter which is across from the caf.
