Depends on how one wants to upgrade. If using miles, you pay 30000 miles and a co-pay of $500..

Edit: Mileage Upgrade Chart

Frequency?

Is there a pattern to when Twares are announced? It seems like I am always in a meeting or the car when they come out. (Maybe United is watching me? )

It has seemed to me that around 3pm Eastern to 5pm Eastern is the timeframe, but sometimes it varies by up to an hour.

Anyone have luck with the TWARE? I get an error:

"We were unable to validate the promotion code or eCertificate number you entered. Please verify that the code or number is entered correctly and the promotion has not expired. "

I entered "HAWAII" in the promo code field and the "tware" fare came up. Someone at United obviously didn't check the Tware page. Not all that spectacular at $778 RT for ORD - OGG.

Same here. Invalid promo code. Hope they fix the bug soon. Could use a trip to Hawaii!

Edit: Hrmmm trying Hawaii but no luck with SFO-KOA or LAX-HNL... maybe I'm putting in the wrong dates, but there is a Sat night stay :-P. Seems to work for ORD-HNL though.

Compared to $1233+ for the lowest W fare, it is still a discount.
And yes, the code is HAWAII... who checks this stuff???

Anyone able to search from SFO? I am using the HAWAII promo code now, and I get the following error:

"Either the origin or destination is not valid for this promotion. Please revise your entry and try again."

Tried for SFO-HNL during the promo period and received this error:

"Either the origin or destination is not valid for this promotion. Please revise your entry and try again."

(and that was after changing the spelling of the promo code to HAWAII)

I see I'm not the only one.

I see lots of options for LAX-OGG over July 4th extended weekend for $416 RT AI. LAX-HNL is slightly mroe restircted at $396 RT AI. That's a pretty good fare!

I just booked a trip for July out of LAX, departing on a Friday night and coming back on the Sunday redeye. It's about $400 which isn't that great for mileage runners, but it's a decent price for summer.
