Upgrade certs, COMP
Today's mail brought three identical form letters from UA apologizing for "less than satisfactory service" which required me to call UA Reservations. Each envelop contained "a more tangible expression of our apology," a "Service Check" for a 1,000 mile unrestricted upgrade, any fare, any class, anywhere. Four of these certs, each good for 1,000 mile segments.
Nice piece of mail on a nice summer day. Nice people at UA. Only thing is, I never called Reservations to complain about anything. I may have called to book a ticket or sign up for an upgrade but no complaints from this satisfied UA customer.
It's a nice day, 85 outside, and I'm going to the beach. Cheers

Uh, Nathan, I believe those certs were intended for me, so if you'll be good enough to forward them...

Sorry about the confusion. Obviously the postperson meant to deliver the letter to my place in the city and ended up leaving it in the suburbs.

I don't know Rudi. I've got a 1,000 mile service interuption upgrade that has my name printed on it and on the back it says it is not transferable.

Sorry Rudi, mine are like PremEx's. Mine are "Service Checks" and are in my name, my real name, that is, not NDetroit.
But why did I get them? I really didn't do anything. And FOUR of them. Mystery.
I just remembered. It must be because I am a saint - as in St. Vitis (dance) St. Pol champagne).
