Double Bonus Miles on new Air Canada Routes
New Air Canada routes: Calgary-Chicago (May 17) and Toronto-San Diego (June 21)
To promote its 46th new Open Skies routes (Toronto-San Diego), Air Canada is offering special introductory return fares from Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City and Halifax. Fares start as low as $399 CAD for sale until April 5, 1999 for travel until July 31, 1999. The airline is also offering double bonus miles with Aeroplan and United Airlines' Mileage Plus frequent flyer programs from June 21 until August 21, 1999. United Airlines will also sell seats on the new route on a codeshare basis.
To promote the Calgary-Chicago service, Air Canada is offering special introductory return fares from Calgary and Edmonton to Chicago and beyond to 30 other selected US destinations, such as New Orleans and Charlotte, N.C. The introductory fares are 40% off and start as low as $379 CAD for sale until April 5, 1999 for travel until July 18, 1999. The airline is also offering double bonus miles with Aeroplan and United Airlines' Mileage Plus frequent flyer programs from May 17 until July 17, 1999.
