IAD-FRA on 2/2 YES! ^

The flight attendant looked at me as I buttoned up my napkin and said "How Cool!"

I didn't even notice the buttonholes. Great thing. I will look for them neyt flight.

I've found that the linens with buttonholes in F/C have been hit or miss. Today on LAX-IAD 744 UD no buttonholes :(

Had them this past week on ORD - LGA. Strangely enough, I noticed a buttonhole on the tray cloth as well. Didn't use the opportunity to 'double button'.

Update to this topic. Over the last 4 international flights, 3 of which were in C, I received non-buttonholed linens in the utensil rollup but did receive buttonholed linen in the service, unfortunately they were used as the tray cover

This year so far, twice to Europe with buttonhole napkins and back from Europe buttonhole tray covers. In domestic, I just don't remember as my flights are too early in the morning or too late at night.

On my last flight back from LA, I had a button-holed tray cover and an "intact" napkin. I switched the two, as they are the same size... someone still hasn't gotten the proper training...

Its not a training deficiency... the new "button-hole" linens are gradually replacing the older ones (without button-holes) as they age. There is not a differentiation between which one is supposed to boarded for the table linen and which one is used when catering prepares the roll-up for your tray.

Until the older ones are completely purged from inventory, there will always be a chance to get a linen without a button-hole in your roll-up.

I had this on a DEN-SFO flight awhile back. Buttonhole table cloth (tray cloth?) and non-hole napkin. Didn't want to swap because balancing the tray to do the swap was too much of a pain.
