Buttonholes are back!

Today on UA74 HNL-SFO I unfurled the napkin and noticed there was a rather large buttonhole in one corner. I knew this info should be dispensed right away to the FT community. Let the rejoicing begin!

What a flight, buttonholes and three servings of warm nuts. It's enough to make your head spin.

Having posted 10 times on this in the past :

Well done UA!

Now bring back Godivas, and keep moving in the right direction.

Buttonhole on the linen napkins used to attach them to a button on the front of your shirt to protect from those spills due to inflight bumps or those weird seat/tray table angles... One of the things (along with Godiva chocolates and other "treats") that used to be routine on UA but disappeared and some of them seem to be returning...

Good to know it is available. I usually dress down when I fly. Long sleeves cool max shirts don't have buttons.

I missed the buttonholes much more than the Godiva.

I could've sworn I've seen some buttonhole'd napkins floating around over the past year. Surely?

You sure these are not just old napkins taken out of storage to save the cost of buying some new ones? A little extra bleach, a little extra starch...

Anyone else read this thread title as "Buttholes are back!"?

Need another cup of coffee I think.

I sure hope this is not just a fluke and is, in fact, happening systemwide. Nothing's worse than tucking that napkin into your shirt only to have it fall out just as you drop a glob of "Asian Sesame Vinaigrette" on your frequent flier pot belly!
