Intl Efare availability
Can someone please tell me why I am no longer able to get the efare quoted on ua.bomb? For example, ORD - LHR is listed for $402 for next weekend in the efare section but when I did a search on all 16 combinations of dates, the closest fare I got is above $800. I had no problem getting the quoted intl Efares last year at all. Did they change something this year?

Taxes? Availability? Maybe all the cheap seats are already gone?
You must be doing something wrong - I just tried your search and got $561.74 (fare basis SECATA). Base fare $292. Taxes & fees $269.74.

That's one of my complaints about efares ... UA can advertise all the fares they want, but just try finding out on what day(s) and flight(s) the fare might be available!
My other complaint is that I never see any efares from EWR.

Not sure if this has been mentioned already, but I didn't see it anywhere.
It looks like on this weeks E-Fares that "International" has been replaced with "Hawaii". At least from IAD there haven't been any International E-Fares for weeks, or maybe even months anyway (there aren't any under the new "Hawaii" category either, for that matter).
But, we have taken advantage of an International E-Fare in the past, so I'm curious whether this change is temporary, or a permanent end to International E-Fares.

The point of efares is to sell seats that would otherwise go out empty. Perhaps the EWR flights have been full, and therefore, UA doesn't need to discount seats out of that market to sell the seats.
On the other hand, I count efares to 18 destinations out of EWR this week, and another 11 next week, as well as 2 same day return. Didn't check availability of them all, but had no problem finding efares at the advertised price to ORD, CRW and FCA for this week. I hardly think that warrants the complaint that there are "never" any efares from EWR. Perhaps they don't have efares out of EWR to your desired destinations, or at your desired times. But that is a completely different matter. As in general, its always more difficult to find the lowest fare buckets, and so you usually have to be flexible.

Indeed interesting.

More intereting, perhaps, is that Hawaii is no longer considered domestic.
