Has UA matched AA's 2x miles promo for SFO/LAX to ORD?
Anyone know if UA has matched AA's double miles promo? AA promo code is CALDB.

just to ask a related question. I've never tried to get an airline to match another airlines anything. The closest thing to this is asking the reservations desk to match a competitor's fare in the same market and every time they say, "well then make your reservation with that airline." Do airlines really match anything?

In the past, with both AA and UA, a phone call to the respective freq flyer desk would generate a transfer to a supervisor who usually know about the other carrier's new promo and would be able to indicate whether it would be matched. I don't generally trust the timeliness of when united.com promo screens are updated.
