Thanks to SEA_Tigger there is now a definition of UGS, which has been added to the United FAQ as this post http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showp...&postcount=128 and which will be incorporated into the main FAQ page when mymiles2go is able to get to it.
In cleaning up this thread before putting it to bed, a number of off-topic posts have been deleted in order to best preserve the discussion.
A final note re this or any thread: asking on-thread (or certainly SHOUTING on thread) for a "sticky" is off-topic. A polite PM to any of the moderators is the appropriate way for such meta-discussion to occur, and for your concern to be noted.
