On Channel 9 going into DEN recently, I heard ATC continue to refer to our TED flight as TEDXXXX. To which our Captain...you could almost hear the annoyance in his voice...continually replied with emphasis, "UnitedXXXX" This went back and forth for some time with neither one of them giving ground as to the designator.

The perfect solution: Let's say it's a TED flight #1401. Henceforth, AT controllers should refer to this flight as RAR!1401.
