Hold function gone?
After using the newly available hold ticket feature with no problems for a few days, the option is now gone from the "Create itinerary: Review" page. 1P here. Was it just a tease?

It worked for you?!
I had to resort to phone-center hold.

I just used it to save an itinerary - am a iK if that matters.
But i have noticed in the past that it sometimes doesn't work if you are trying to hold a 14 day advance purchase fare for purchase on the 13th day, if you understand what I mean. To see if this is the case, try it out - see if you would be able to hold the same itinerary for the following day - the day AFTER you really want to travel...and if so, you are probably trying to hold a fare that is going to expire...

Definitely not working for me tonight. Amazing united.bomb consistence...

Edit: what is worse, i can't even book the reservations i have on hold from yesterday. I had to build my itineraries from scratch again... at least the fares didn't go up.

Occasionally the hold option does not show up as an option when I am making reservations. One of my guesses is that although I was logged in, the website has lost track of who I was. Sometimes when I rebuild the itinerary in a different window after making absolutely sure I am recognized for being me, the hold option reappears.
I have also had the frustration of my itineraries not working and not being able to book a reservation already on hold and having to start over.
Just on of the many annoyances of united.com. However I would still rather have the option to try to do it myself online than rely on the CSRs that are only right 1/3 rd of the time.
