I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I didn't see anything on it recently: Is there any explanation for why you can't change your seat selection on My Itineraries.bomb?
Nearly all other airline websites that I have used have this feature, and it would seem a no-brainer - far fewer people calling reservations to get their seats over the phone!
Any signs that this feature will come online sometime in the future?

The bomb is down... at least when logging on with My Itineraries set as the start page, it is crashing IE on my one computer, on Firefox gives a "cannot access ua2go.com", and gives a page not foound on IE on another computer.

United.bomb pulled a SWU instead of a CR1 the other day for a domestic upgrade. I haven't figured out yet HOW when "electronic confirmed regional" was selected, and my CR1 count dropped from 1 to 0, that when I use Easy Check-In Online it swaps the CR1 for a SWU.

hey, that's better than my latest. trying to book iah-sin and i got a rate of $348...for iah-sfo. which is all that comes up. iah-den-sfo, iah-ord-sfo.

it's been discussed, but nothing's been done about it. if they did allow you to change seats online, i suspect call volume would decrease markedly--i know mine would. the only time you can do it is during olci. sigh.

Most people's itineraries are coming up as "Voided" this morning on .bomb.
The word is the call centres are aware of the problem and have been told to say "there's no problem just turn up for your flights as usual".

I am definitely having trouble logging in today...but it is random. I think there have been some changes recently and I think they have gone backwards. Some time back, whenever I did a IND-BKK lowest price search .bomb would always give me the outbound via europe at an outrageous cost and when I could get it to go via asia it would only give me the NH codeshare from NRT-BKK. I had to search each individual segment to get it to price correctly. That problem cleared up some time ago but now it is back and happened on the last few weeks. Such a frustrating experience....how does a "normal" user of this web site get a good price? How much biz does UA lose because of things like this? If I was booking IND-BKK and didnt know any better I would obviously be flying a different carrier.
