Good bye Tulip!........

But Wait!.......You too can have your very own tulip. Remember when Tulip bulbs were a currency? Of course; you learned that in Ancient History. Do not fret, do not pine; head on down to your local Lowe's or Home Depot and order a hundred or so bulbs today. [I so hope someone here can point out the name of the proper colors? ]

If enough of us plant the bulbs....in the future pilots will mention: Off the left side of of plane, if you look closely, there are many red & blue Tulips in remembrance of a time long ago....

A non-issue, I'd be more worried if ITA removed the UA/CO related "tricks" from the search engine

Sad to see it go. When I do Orbitz searches I often see the Globe and think "CO" and then see it's a UA flight through a UA hub and I get confused.

Oh and the terminal direction signs at the PHX Rental Car Center still says Ted too

AFAIK, it wasn't meant to be a tulip, but rather a "U." I could be wrong.

(I do miss it, though.)

According to UA, evidently it's called "The Sweep."

That makes sense.

And in the scale of things to be "sad" about this doesn't even move the needle.

Sorry if this has been discussed in another thread, but my MP Chase account is now rebranded.

Must have just happened. I logged in on Saturday, and still had the old logo...

it was inevitable. It just makes it a lot more confusing to find united flights...

No, that is the term they use for the Tulip when it's cropped or enlarged like on the signs at check in, card stock, etc. UA has called it the "U" on their website or the "United Symbol".

Employees have called it the Tulip for ages, and most fans refer to it as such too.

As for this issue, things don't last forever. And not I'm not referring to the Tulip..I"m talking about $mi$ek's reign. When he's gone the Tulip will return. We have not seen the last of her.

I wish I could agree. Unfortunately, however, the tulip evokes a certain good feeling in me whenever I see it. I can't explain why. But for that reason, I am sad to see it go.
