Thank you for posting this. It is very interesting and reading the material is an excellent education for anyone contemplating a start-up company of the importance of branding, maintaining consistency of the brand and good governance around it's use.
or... just have SMI/J whip something up on powerpoint and plaster it on everything.

No worries. I am a serious livery junkie!
There is a whole library of downloadable .eps for logos from various divisions etc, trying to download a few to keep on file. Things like PS service etc.
Here's another fab find:

Perverse as it seems, with the complaints and negativity that this board often gets, we just might look back at this some years from now and call it "the good ol' days." Thanks for posting both docs!

Thanks for the post ClipperClub. ^ For nostalgia, I just recently purchased a to-scale model in the last tulip livery. It now sits on my book shelf as a permanent reminder of the glory days, branding-wise...

These PDFs are internal company information and shouldn't be posted on here. I highly suggest you remove it asap.

JAL going back
JAL is going back to their crane logo, maybe the new United will go back to the tulip after a few years.

Learned something new
Lots of people on this forum refer to UA's logo as the tulip. According to these documents, united actually refers to it as "the sweep".
I definitely prefer the sweep over the nondescript CO globe!

Thats what I noticed too. I was trying to figure out if it was what they named the tulip or if it was a marketing term. I think it is the prior as it is always a capital S, Sweep.

OP, thanks for posting these docs! Quick question, can I get UA to paint my car in the current livery?
+1
I've got a 1:100 B777 in the current colors on my desk. Along with the many UA photos that I've taken, the tulip will never die
If only I could have gotten the 1:50 B747 that the DEN RCCs had hanging from the ceiling. Those birds were amazing!
