Any ideas?

Any ideas on what the best flight to grab in hopes of getting the new config?
10/2 IAD - LHR (918 or 924)

922 which is the 767. After that, its all luck. If I had to guess, probably 918 as that flight is showing the new config for dates in DEC/JAN. As for now, with only 4 777s, I wouldn't count on the new config for anything.

Any ideas where the just-hatched fourth 777 will take its first jumps?

Don't you mean 'From where?' They all have been heading to LHR so far and I've read somewhere on this thread that it takes at least six 777s to ensure that LHR is 100% covered.

That's what I thought, but wouldn't the plane first complete a few domestic runs?

No, they can fly internationally right away. The last one out flew SFO-LHR on its first flight out.

A 77Q is subbing for N194UA (the old 747) SFO-ORD on 9/13 and ORD-SFO 9/14. Where it goes in between, I know not.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8900/4.6.1.231 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

N783UA and N784UA are at FRA today. N783UA is at A60 for UA933 FRA-IAD and is a new config according to my seat assignment.

Well looks like the 77Q is flying LHR-DEN all week except for the one day I'm on it again which is Thursday! Of course it changed back to a regular 777 yesterday! Might change my flight just to see if it really does exist on LHR-DEN on another day!

Thumbs up F-seat map available for seat selection!

The F seat map for my Jan. flight LHR-SFO just allowed me to pick my own seats!!

It finally let me pick after weeks of just showing a full cabin graphic.

Don't know about the C cabin..

^^

Further to my previous post and like another poster on this forum, most seats on the flights have now opened up

despite .bomb Customer Care knowing nothing about it

Yep, in fact all open except for the handful of seats that happened to be available for selection when most were blocked. Grabbed 6A/B for BH and myself on our upcoming LAX-LHR trip.

Same thing has happened in Coach for my trips (SFO-LHR/LHR-LAX/IAD-LHR) in October and November.

Flt 955 lhr-sfo

I have been keeping an eye on unitedcargo.com for UA 955 LHR to SFO as I am booked for Sep 27. It was showing the new config every few days for this flight (albeit less often than the later UA 931), but now 955 seems to have no coverage by the newly configured planes.

Anyone have any idea as to why the change?
