Urgh. I was hoping that with the new bird out UA might put the new config on UA 954 (the earlier SFO-LHR flight). I'm on 954 next Saturday. Guess I'll get a chance to try out the old F.

Don't forget that the schedule can change at any time, for op reasons etc.
So don't count yourself out...just keep having the occasional look on United Cargo.

My upgrade from Y to C (B Class) hasn't gone through yet, but managed to get the new 20B seat, which is one of only very few "2 seats" in E+

More 77Qs?

I see that 77Q is listed for UA930 on both the 7th and 8th August, as well as UA954 on the 8th. I'm on UA931 on the the 8th, and 930 on 12th, so looks like I'll be missing out.

Also, I see the 930 on the 6th was diverted to ORD... Wonder if that's causing any issues.

Hello, I would like to get some datapoints posted from people who have been on flights with the new 77Q config.

-When do the seatmaps come up for flights that are swapped to the 77Q configs? Online check-in? Or just at the airport on day of departure.

-Upgrade success using SWUs. (or lack of success).

Thanks a lot.

Incidentally, my upcoming SFO-LHR-SFO trip appears to have 77Q both ways, with the outbound on 8/11 not clearing to NC yet, despite being C9D9Z9 with a wide open seatmap.

Well, according to everything that I can see, 976, IAD-DXB will be going out as new configuration tonight, AUG 19 2010.

I'll (hopefully) be in 9G, unless they switch it out at the last minute.

N784UA did go out to DXB, and is on its way back to IAD now. Must've been a welcome surprise for that long flight.

Indeed it was. Slept pretty well, even without the Lunesta. Now I get to wait and see what will be for next week's ride home.

UA 925 LHR-IAD on 8/25 is showing on United cargo to be the new config but .bomb still shows it as 2-5-2. How long does it usually take before they update the seat map so that I can select my seat on the new config?

11800506, my DEN-LAX flight had the old seat map. I wasn't able to OLCI due to "Flight not open for checkin." It finally allowed me to OLCI with the new seat map about 12 hours before my departure time.

You can always call and try for new seats before the seat man shows up on united.com. Sometimes they'll be able to, and sometimes they won't.

Anyone know, now that they seem to have a plan down for the conversion of the 777's, about how long it takes per plane?? Is there enough information to place an educated guess that it takes 14 days per plane or is it much longer or shorter than that? Also, it may be off topic, but is the plan to try and finish the 777's before the UA / CO marriage??
