The Ghost of TED

At DEN the other day, I noticed at the departures curb for skycap check-in a lonely, battered, round sign that says:

Check in here.
Yes, here.

Those in the know would recognize this as a sad reminder of the "glory" TED days.

Rar.

What's amusing is that the sign is intended to be playful, but if you imagine a harried LAX agent pointing at it and muttering, it's anything but. "Oh for chrissa… ma'am check in here. Yes, here. Idiots."

In my stash of future eBay fodder I'll put up for sale, I have a poster of a Ted plane wearing a birthday hat celebrating it's 2nd birthday.

At the PHX airport last month on the sign that listed the airlines for the United terminal it also listed Ted as an airlines. Reminded me how happy I was to be flying regular mainline PHX-ORD.

The shuttle bus from the economy parking at IAD still says (it's a recording) "TED" as one of the airlines for the terminal.

Yeah, the Hertz shuttle bus ride at DEN still has an announcement that the first stop is for American Airlines, Lufthansa, United Airlines, T-E-D Airlines, Air Canada, and British Airways.
