I'm 10/10 on LAX <-> SFOs. While most have cleared at 100 hrs., the 1 or 2 that went to the gate cleared because there were no shows. There seems to be a good bit of churn on these flights. Last Saturday's 8 p.m. 757 LAX - SFO was booked to F1. After boarding, there were 7 F seats still unoccupied, and two F seats went out empty.

A320 MSP-ORD on Y did not clear. ticket bought 3 days out (& waitlisted) and still had 1 seat open 1 hr. prior to departure. can't believe a GS bought a last minute ticket literally. inclined to think that a GA did someone a favor.

I'm 7/7 on UDU's so far including a last minute standby on SFO-SEA. Most have cleared at 100 hours but a few have gone down to an hour or so before departure. Most surprising to me is the majority are on hub-to-hub routes - SFO and DEN mostly.

I've got 5 more eligible flights coming up in the next two weeks that are currently pending including an almost fully packed 777 DEN-SFO. Let's hope the streak continues.

After almost 10 years as 1P I'm really enjoying 1K this year!

4/4 so far. Very pleased as a 1P, much better than I thought it would be. I just cleared at 72 hrs out for my Friday flight (DEN-TUS, Seat 1A on a CR7), very happy. And yes, I already added it to the website.

Seeing the following rates for success so far:
GS: 99.7%
1K: 89.1%
1P: 59.9%
2P: 21.7%

As a 1K, I'll take that...

Also, overall clearance rates are best in the morning and evening - mid-day is tougher.

Cleared last night... updated on UDU stats. 9/9 so far this year... UDU is better than e500s for this 1K.

And I have 5 more UDU opportunities booked...

Interesting situation with UA 595 (DEN-SFO) yesterday
Flight delayed 3 hours and equipment changed from 2-Class 777 to 3-class 777

Flight when out with 120+ empty seats

First -- a few empty seats (maybe 3)
Business -- maybe 4 empty seats
E+ -- 90% EMPTY!!! only a handful (3Ps and purchased E+??)
E- -- 1/3 empty

Really weird to see the empty E+ but UDU pushed all (?) elites up front
Doubt this would have happened pre-UDU

I'm on 595 this Sunday and my UDU just cleared. I'm thinking I should pick 1A instead of 4A just in case it goes from 2-class to 3-class like yours did.

If your aircraft changes from a 2 Cabin to a 3 Cabin, you will be put into C, not F.

Not always - I've had it happen before where I've kept my seat assignment during an equipment change and moved into F. Since 4A doesn't exist on the 3-class 777 I have the even worse prospect of being moved back to E+ or even E-.

I was in Row 1 and ended up in Row 9

Plus we had to endure a three hour delay to get the 3-Class 777 -- which was coming from ORD (UA253).

You must have had a GA that liked you a lot. IME, I have never been given an upgrade to F when switching from a 2-class to a 3-class. I always end up in C...
